Clone Any App Free With Claude's Replica Skill System

Clone Any App Free With Claude's Replica Skill System

Claude can now clone any app for free using a set of skills called Replica. Paste in the app’s link, tell Claude to install the skill, and eleven separate skills take over the reverse engineering, rebuilding, and bug testing so you end up with a working copy you can use or sell.

What Is the Replica Skill System?

Replica is a free Claude skill pack built to clone existing apps instead of building from a blank page. It is not one skill but eleven, and each one handles a separate stage of the cloning process instead of trying to do everything in a single prompt.

Splitting the work this way matters because reverse engineering an app, rebuilding its interface, and testing for bugs are three different jobs with three different failure modes. A single skill trying to do all of it tends to lose track of what it already found. Eleven narrower skills each stay focused on their one task, and Claude Code hands off between them as the clone moves from analysis to code to testing.

How Do the Reverse Engineering and Rebuilding Skills Work?

One skill in the pack reverse engineers the target app. It walks the app’s pages, structure, and features and writes up what it finds instead of guessing from a screenshot alone. A second skill takes that writeup and rebuilds the app from it, turning the analysis into working code rather than a copy-paste clone of the original site’s files.

A third skill in the chain tests the rebuilt app for bugs before you call it done. That step is what turns a rough first pass into something you would actually hand to a client or use yourself, since it catches broken buttons and missing logic before you do.

Stage Skill does this
1. Analyze Reverse engineers the target app’s features and structure
2. Build Rebuilds the app as working code
3. Test Checks the clone for bugs
4. Improve Researches user complaints and adds missing features

What Does the Entrepreneur Skill Do Differently?

The Entrepreneur skill is the one built for agency owners and freelancers specifically. Instead of stopping once the clone works, it researches the original app, reads through real user feedback about what people wish the app did better, and builds those missing features into your version.

That step is what separates a plain clone from something sellable. An app that matches the original is a tech demo. An app that fixes the complaints real users already left in reviews is a product you can pitch to a client as an improvement, not just a copy.

How Do You Install the Replica Skill in Claude?

Getting started takes two steps, which is the point of a skill pack over a long custom prompt:

  1. Paste the link to the app you want to clone into Claude.
  2. Say “install skill” and let Claude pull in the Replica skill pack and start the reverse engineering step.

From there Claude Code works through the eleven skills in sequence: analyze, rebuild, test, then (if you’re using it for client work) run the Entrepreneur skill to layer in fixes based on real feedback. FAQ

Is the Replica skill system free?

Yes. Replica is a free Claude skill pack. There is no subscription cost to install or run it, only Claude usage.

How many skills are in the Replica pack?

Eleven. Each one handles a separate stage of cloning an app, from reverse engineering the original through rebuilding, testing, and improving it.

Can I sell an app I clone with Replica?

The Entrepreneur skill is built for that use case. It researches real user complaints about the original app and builds fixes into your clone, so agency owners and freelancers end up with an improved version they can pitch to clients rather than a plain copy.

Do I need to know how to code to use Replica?

No. You paste the app’s link into Claude and say “install skill.” Claude Code runs the reverse engineering, rebuilding, and testing skills for you.

What app can I clone with Replica?

Any app with a reachable link, since the first skill works by reverse engineering what it finds at that URL. The rebuild and test skills then work from that analysis regardless of which app it came from.

Ready to Build Your Own AI Systems?

Claude’s skill system keeps getting deeper, and Replica is one example of what eleven coordinated skills can do that a single prompt can’t.
